Bee Jersey got his fifth First-Crop winner Saturday at Keeneland when Jersey Pearl won a six-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-old fillies by 1 ½-lengths.

Jersey Pearl’s win comes just a week after Bee Jersey got his first stakes winner with My Happiness in the $100,000 Iowa Sorority S.

Jersey Pearl, who was making her second lifetime start, was trying the main track for the first time Saturday. She was away well out of the gate and pressed Inventing Anna through a half-mile in :45.91. The chestnut filly took over at the top of the stretch and edged clear late to secure the win.

Jersey Pearl is owned by Silverton Hill LLC and was bred by Charles Fipke.

Jersey Pearl is out of Jersey’s Soul, a half-sister to Cigar Mile (G1) winner Jersey Town. Jersey’s Soul last produced a yearling full brother to Jersey Pearl.
